Mozer urges Lucas Paquetá to set example after Flamengo return | OneFootball

Flamengo’s record signing Lucas Paquetá has already marked his return with a first goal, and club great Mozer has praised the No 20 while offering guidance on his daily approach.

"I like Paquetá a lot, I think he is an excellent player, and I have a piece of advice for him. Be a great example of what you learned in England. Help your coach, do everything he asks, and we will be satisfied with his return," said Mozer, speaking to Flamengo TV.

"I think every player right now would like to play for Flamengo. Those who have been abroad should come back and be an example of what they learned, but most do not," he added.

After more than three years at West Ham, Paquetá requested a move back to Rio. Flamengo reached agreement with the English club and brought him in to add quality and experience to the squad.

He has already contested a final since returning, a 2-0 defeat to Corinthians in the Supercopa do Brasil. The focus now is the Recopa Sudamericana, as he looks to collect a first trophy of this spell.

Filipe Luís’s side visit Lanús at the Estadio Néstor Díaz Pérez at 21:30 Brasília time on Thursday 19 in the first leg. ESPN and Disney+ will broadcast the match.
