Divin Mubama has paid tribute to his team-mates after the EDS came back to beat Arsenal 3-2 in our Premier League 2play-off quarter-final.
Ben Wilkinson's side trailed 2-0 with 76 minutes played, but fought back with Mubama grabbing an extra-time winner after Ashton Muir and Lakyle Samuel strikes took the game to 120 minutes.
It's a second successive extra-time win in the PL2 play-offs for our young boys in blue who beat Liverpool 2-1 after 120 minutes in the Round of 16 last weekend.
Saturday evening's triumph means our 2024/25 season continues with a play-off semi-final. City will face Manchester United or West Ham next weekend with in-form Mubama looking to continue having an impact in City's games.
“I was just trying to stay in the game because we didn't have too many chances,” said the City striker when asked to guide City Studios through his winning goal.
“For the goal, I just gambled - I thought he [Reigan Heskey] was going to head it, but luckily he didn't and I was there to put it in.
“I'm just trying to take it game by game and score goals - we have a good group of boys but my job is to score goals and that's what I'm doing right now.”
