Nacional punish Rio Ave to rise to 11th | OneFootball

Nacional beat Rio Ave 4-0 on Sunday at Estádio da Madeira to rise from 15th to 11th in Liga Portugal.

Gabriel Veron broke the deadlock in the 34th minute, steering into the top left corner from Vitor Hugo's headed pass.

After the restart, Jesús Andrés Ramírez doubled the lead with a glanced header from Alan Núñez's cross (46.). Léo Santos added a third with a close-range header from José Gomes after a corner (72.). Substitute Witi sealed it with a low strike from range, set up by Matheus Dias (90.).

Kaíque made six saves, twice thwarting Clayton before the interval, as Rio Ave's threat faded after the second goal.

There were treatment stoppages for Veron and Kaíque before the opener.
