Napoli advance in move for Bologna’s Sam Beukema | OneFootball

Serie A champions Napoli are interested in Bologna’s Sam Beukema and talks are said to be advancing.

The Dutchman has been linked with a move to the Partenopei by the rest of the Italian media, who are convinced that Antonio Conte’s side need a new centre-back.

Sources close to Get Italian Football News have informed us of further updates and we understand that the defender is Napoli’s first-choice for the centre-back role. Talks are ongoing and are currently at an advanced stage.

There is also interest from last season’s Scudetto runner-ups Inter, but we understand that Napoli have a clear advantage because of the advanced talks.

Liverpool, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have also been interested in the past but everything points towards the fact that Beukema could potentially be nearing a move to Napoli, if everything goes according to plan.

The centre-back has impressed for Bologna in the last two seasons, showing his abilities under both Thiago Motta and Vincenzo Italiano.
