Serie A giants Napoli have been offered a chance to sign Manchester United’s Rasmus Hojlund.

The Dane has been close to joining Milan this summer after he opened to the possibility of joining the Rossoneri.

Now, Marco Conterio has reported that with Napoli looking to sign a striker after an injury to Romelu Lukaku, they asked Manchester United for Joshua Zirkzee.

The Red Devils made it clear that the Dutchman is not for sale but made the counter-proposal, offering Hojlund to Napoli.

It remains to be seen how the Italian champions respond to that approach, as they have also been in contact for Andrea Pinamonti.

Milan have been trying to sign the Dane and have spoken to his entourage about a transfer, as the striker had initially not opened up to the idea of moving to the San Siro. It remains to be seen whether Napoli make a concrete move or not.
