Napoli transfer delayed: Why Jesper Lindstrøm’s Schalke move is currently on hold | OneFootball

Napoli midfielder Jesper Lindstrøm’s deal to sign for Schalke on a loan move has hit a major roadblock in the last few hours. 

According to a report by BILD via Calcio Napoli 24, Jesper Lindstrøm’s transfer to newly promoted Bundesliga side Schalke was put on hold by the German side due to the Partenopei’s changing demands. 

Die Knappen are frustrated with Napoli, as they did not adhere to the initial verbal agreements. The Serie A club shifted from their primary terms of adding an option to buy in the loan move to inserting an obligation to buy the player, should he achieve certain thresholds while playing for the Ruhr-based outfit.

Lindstrøm has been staying at a hotel in Gelsenkirchen after completing his medicals for Schalke. However, the Royal Blues’ management has now suspended negotiations with Napoli, and the Danish midfielder is set to return to Naples, before any further proceedings take place.
