The incident that opened the dispute came at minute 29, when Adrien Rabiot kicked Matteo Politano while on the ground, leaving the Napoli winger in pain.

The Napoli players on the pitch and on the bench called for a red card for the Frenchman, but the referee didn’t even show a yellow card, contrary to what he had done previously, when he booked Rasmus Hojlund for a late challenge on Mike Maignan.

The clashes between players continued during the match, leading to Allegri’s outburst. Conte did shake hands with the Milan coach’s assistant Marco Landucci, but didn’t cross paths with Allegri after the final whistle.
