According to L'Équipe, Sevilla have announced the departure of Nemanja Gudelj after seven seasons, with Jon Guridi joining from Deportivo Alavés.
Sevilla finished 13th in La Liga after a very difficult campaign. Gudelj leaves as a free agent following a mutual agreement to end his deal.
The 34-year-old had been at the club since 2019, playing 261 matches and winning two Europa Leagues. The club’s official account described him as a Sevilla legend.
In the opposite direction, Guridi, 31, arrives from Alavés. The Spanish midfielder is formerly of Real Sociedad.
He lands amid financial instability at the club. José Ignacio Navarro has been appointed sporting director, and president José Maria del Nido Carrasco said the situation is under control but the problem lies with the salary cap.
