“Never a concrete target” – Top French insider gives major update on PSG’s midfield plans | OneFootball

PSG are not going to chase Ayyoub Bouaddi – and apparently weren’t ever seriously considering him, despite plenty of reports to the contrary.

The news that came out today that PSG have agreed a new deal with Fabian Ruiz, which will extend the Spaniard’s stay in Paris by at least one more year, has major knock on effects.

French journalist Fabrice Hawkins, who is always reliable on these matters, has today declared that the club’s long standing interest in Ayyoub Bouaddi is not going to go anywhere.

“Although appreciate by the management, Bouaddi was never a concrete target for this summer,” Hawkins wrote on Twitter.

“His future should be written in the Premier League, where a battle between clubs is expected soon.”

PSG did not make concrete moves for Monaco midfielder

PSG know Bouaddi very well, having come up against him plenty of times in games. Many fans will be disappointed to see the Morocco star let go, but at this point you’ve just got to trust Luis Campos and his plans.

The fact that multiple Premier League teams are keen probably means the bidding is going to get out of control. PSG have the best midfield in the world, and can rely on their academy to produce yet more top quality in the long run.

PSG have apparently agreed a contract extension with Fabian Ruiz, and are just waiting to announce the 1+1 deal.
