Serge Gnabry’s future at FC Bayern is still open and now the international’s advisor has spoken out
There are currently several important personnel issues at FC Bayern – one of which is the future of Serge Gnabry. The attacking player still has a contract until the summer of 2026 and the record champions are apparently planning to offer him an extension on significantly reduced terms
In sporting terms, Gnabry is still on the up: in 15 competitive matches, he has scored 4 goals and provided 4 assists
Gnabry’s advisor Thorsten Wirth has now commented on the situation in the TOMorrow podcast: „Serge is always good for a surprise. It was great to see how he settled into his new role in the summer and built up such a positive dynamic,“ said Wirth
He also emphasized: „His contract is coming to an end, but he feels very comfortable and is enjoying his time. Both sides know exactly what they mean to each other.“
FC Bayern value Gnabry’s experience and recent improvement in performance, but probably also continue to see economic necessities. The attacking player is currently set to earn around €18 million per year. An extension is therefore only conceivable for Munich if Gnabry agrees to a significant reduction in salary
The fact that the 30-year-old is still in demand internationally was also recently reported in the BILD podcast„Bayern Insider“ , according to which Juventus are monitoring his situation very closely. „That’s true. Juventus have their eye on Gnabry,“ said BILD chief reporter Tobias Altschäffl

At the same time, a transfer to Italy is considered difficult to realize, as the financial dimensions – salary, hand money, consultancy fees – would hardly be manageable for Juve. Liverpool FC is also said to have informed itself, but so far it has not become more concrete
From Munich’s point of view, the situation remains clear: Gnabry feels comfortable at the club, has a good standing internally and has played his way back into the starting eleven after weaker phases. FC Bayern is probably open to an extension for another two years – but only on adjusted terms.
