A new drone video has revealed fresh progress on Leeds United’s Elland Road redevelopment, with early works concentrated on the West Stand.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the club moved quickly after the 2025/26 Premier League campaign, with long-term plans to lift capacity to 53,000 by developing the North and West Stands by 2030. The latest footage, dated Tuesday, 9 June, follows initial activity seen at the end of May.

Footage from late last month showed Portakabins that hosted visiting teams being removed and the ticket office partially demolished. The ticket office has now gone entirely, with further progress on the West Stand banqueting suite.

About a third of the external structure outside the West Stand has been taken down, and the away fans’ tunnel in the same area has also been demolished. A temporary building behind the North Stand is taking shape, expected to host corporate facilities during the works.

Inside the ground, the turf appears to have been lifted ahead of pitch preparation for next season. There has also been activity around the West Stand technical area, with dugouts removed and a screen erected.

Pitch and dugout work is due to be finished before next season, while the broader expansion continues through the 2026/27 campaign. Chairman Paraag Marathe has warned of disruption, saying the drawn-out schedule aims to protect matchday seating and asking fans to bear with the process.
