New York FC forward Jovan Mijatovic is off to Eintracht Braunschweig. The Serbian had been on loan with Belgian Pro League side OH Leuven, having joined them last season and had his loan at the club extended. However, Mijatovic has struggled to become a regular starter in the side and will now leave with one goal and one assist in 23 games.
In 2024 Mijatovic made 15 appearances for MLS side New York FC. He had joined the club that season from FK Crvena Zvezda in Serbia following a strong 2023/2024 campaign where he scored nine goals in 19 games. However, he only scored once for New York FC before being sent out on loan to OH Leuven. Mijatovic is now set to swap the struggling Belgian side for a struggling German side. His new club, Eintracht Braunschweig, are currently 12th in the 2 Bundesliga, just a point above the relegation playoff zone. The table is incredibly tight at the bottom as plenty of sides are in with a chance of being sucked into the bottom three.
