Kicker reports that Newcastle United are among the clubs holding talks over a move for Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller.

The Germany international has been central to Stuttgart’s rise, shining across the last two Bundesliga seasons. He made 34 league appearances in 2025/26 as Sebastian Hoeneß’s deep-lying playmaker.

Calm on the ball and tactically sharp, Stiller sets the rhythm from the base of midfield. His form has marked him out as one of the Bundesliga’s standout performers.

Newcastle’s interest comes amid wider admiration from elsewhere, so competition is expected and a clear run appears unlikely.

Stiller is under contract until 2028, with a reported release clause of €36.5 million. For a player entering his peak after another excellent campaign, that figure could be tempting for leading clubs.
