Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall has been bogged down by injuries over the past year, but there is light at the end of the tunnel for him.
Journalist Craig Hope claims he could feature before the November international break.
The Magpies have been without Hall since the beginning of October. He last featured in the Champions League win over Union Saint-Gilloise.
Manager Eddie Howe has played Dan Burn at left-back. The big defender has his outstanding qualities, but he does not offer Hall’s attacking verve down the flank.
Hall is an electric force down the left, and the Magpies have surely missed his attacking thrust.
The games come thick and fast, but Hall could make the bench and possibly get some game time versus Brentford on November 9 before the break.
Elsewhere, Yoane Wissa’s injury situation has improved. He remains on track for a November return if his recovery continues to progress. That would be a significant boost for Howe.
The Congolese international’s pace, movement and work rate could bring a new dimension to the Magpies’ forward line once he’s up to speed.
Like Hall, he’s targeting the Brentford fixture as a potential comeback, which would be a fitting return against his former club and a timely lift before the international break.
