In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Newcastle United have set their sights on Manchester City winger Jack Grealish. It has been mentioned that the Magpies are eyeing a move to bring the English talent to St. James’ Park this summer.
Grealish struggled to find consistency with his performances on the left side of Pep Guardiola’s attack in the previous campaign. The 29-year-old found the back of the net on three occasions and secured five assists in 32 matches for the Mancunian side last season across all competitions.
The England international did well to average 1.33 shots per 90 minutes in Premier League football but could only keep 33.3% of his attempts on target. He was even accurate with his ball distribution after making 87.6% of his attempted passes in the top tier of English football (stats via fbref.com).
Grealish’s current contract at the Etihad Stadium will expire in the summer of 2027 which could make it tough for Newcastle to sign him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

Grealish is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make some driving runs on the left flank. He has also got the vision to create a few inviting chances for others around him in the final third. However, the English talent needs to find a way to improve his productivity in front of the opposition goal.
Grealish has got a wealth of experience in the Premier League and won’t take much time to settle into life at Newcastle. He mainly operates as a left-sided wide player but can also play in the number ten position if told to do so by his manager.
We can expect Grealish to bring more quality to Eddie Howe’s frontline. He has what it takes to challenge for a regular first-team spot at St. James’ Park next season.
At 29, Grealish is still playing in his prime which makes him a good choice for the Magpies to pursue in this transfer window. However, Howe should only move in for him if he is planning to play him regularly at the Tyneside club.
