Newcastle United host PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The Magpies were held to a 2-2 draw by Bayern Leverkusen on the last matchday, leaving them winless in their last two matches in the competition.
PSV could not build on their impressive 4-1 win at Liverpool, suffering a 3-2 home loss to Atletico Madrid.
Newcastle have struggled for consistency domestically this term. Their goalless Premier League draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers was another setback.
However, they have collected 10 points from six games in Europe and are two points outside the automatic qualification spots for the round of 16.
Newcastle have lost just three games on their patch this term. Manager Eddie Howe will be hoping they can use that strength to their advantage in this encounter.
PSV have earned eight points and occupy one of the play-off spots, but must avoid defeat here to maintain that position.
The Dutch side are on a six-game winning run and will head into Wednesday’s meeting with Newcastle in a confident mood.
Both sides have met twice in the Champions League, with PSV claiming victory on both occasions.
Newcastle’s Jacob Murphy, William Osula, Dan Burn, Emil Krafth, Valentino Livramento, Fabian Schar and Jamaal Lascelles will sit this clash out.
PSV also have several players sidelined through injury, including Alassane Plea, Nick Olij, Myron Boadu, Ricardo Pepi and Ruben van Bommel.
Morocco duo Ismael Saibari and Anass Salah-Eddine may not be involved following their Africa Cup of Nations commitments.
Newcastle (4-3-3): Nick Pope, Lewis Miley, Malick Thiaw, Sven Botman, Lewis Hall, Bruno Guimaraes, Sandro Tonali, Joelinton, Antony Gordon, Yoanne Wissa, Harvey Barnes.
PSV (4-2-3-1): Matej Kovar, Mauro Junior, Yarek Gasiorowski, Jerdy Schouten, Kiliann Sildillia, Paul Wanner, Joey Veerman, Couhaib Driouech, Guus Til, Ivan Perisic, Esmir Bajraktarevic.
We expect Newcastle to triumph 2-1.
