Neymar and Gabigol back for Santos against Chapecoense, squad named | OneFootball

Neymar and Gabigol have been named by coach Cuca and will play for Santos against Chapecoense on Saturday at 18:30 Brasília time in the Campeonato Brasileiro.

According to Globo.com, the attacking pair were confirmed on Friday afternoon when the club released the weekend squad.

Neymar has not featured since 5 July, when he played for Brazil in the round of 16 defeat to Norway at the World Cup. Gabigol will make his first competitive appearance of the second half of the year, having last played on 30 May against Vitória.

Cuca also welcomes back Willian Arão, João Schmidt and Igor Vinicius, who were rested for Tuesday’s Sul-Americana match against Universidad Central da Venezuela.

Midfielder Gustavo Henrique is out with a muscle injury. Forward Moisés is left out for technical reasons by Cuca.

Santos have 21 points, one more than Vasco, the first side inside the Brasileirão relegation zone.
