Neymar is expected in Belém on Tuesday afternoon ahead of Santos’ Copa do Brasil last-16 tie against Remo at the Mangueirão, kick-off 21:30 Brasília time. He did not travel with the squad on Monday because of a private event.

He is due to leave São Paulo around nine in the morning in his private jet, accompanied by his father and club directors including president Marcelo Teixeira. The flight to the Pará state capital is expected to take four hours.

He is expected to land at 13:00, around eight hours before kick-off. He will join the afternoon team talk and travel with the squad to the Mangueirão.

Head coach Cuca has yet to decide whether the number 10 starts, given the travel logistics.

Neymar is the headline figure at the annual charity auction for his Institute in Praia Grande, organised by NR Sports in São Paulo to raise funds.

“I will not be able to stay for the entire auction, because the game is tomorrow. I came to take part a little, because I am going home to rest,” Neymar said, speaking to ESPN.
