Santos have extended Neymar’s contract to the end of 2026, the club confirmed overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday. The forward would like to feature at the 2026 World Cup with Brazil.
The Brazilian, who turns 34 on five February, had a deal that was set to expire on 31 January 2025.

The tournament runs from 11 June to 19 July across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Neymar has not been called up since October 2023. He has 128 caps and is Brazil’s all-time leading scorer with 79 goals.
Often interrupted by injuries, he underwent a successful knee arthroscopy last month.
