Neymar has been left out of the 2026 World Cup sticker album, with Brazil’s squad only due on 18 May when Carlo Ancelotti names his list.

According to Globo.com, Panini confirmed at Saturday’s launch that he is not among the 980 collectable stickers. The forward featured at the past three World Cups and in their albums.

Panini’s 18 Brazil selections were chosen by a specialist team at the company’s Italian headquarters, not by Ancelotti. Panini’s chief executive in Brazil, Raul Vallecillo, said staff track call-ups and assign probabilities, with recent squads heavily weighted and injuries or shocks taken into account.

Neymar’s most recent Brazil call-up came in October 2023, when he was injured against Uruguay in Montevideo.

The album includes Rodrygo, a confirmed absentee, and Estêvão, whose call-up is in doubt after a serious muscle injury. Work on Brazil’s stickers began in 2025, and artwork moved to production as each team qualified.

Brazil’s 18 are Alisson, Bento, Marquinhos, Éder Militão, Gabriel Magalhães, Danilo, Wesley, Casemiro, Lucas Paquetá, Bruno Guimarães, Luiz Henrique, Vinícius Jr, Rodrygo, João Pedro, Matheus Cunha, Gabriel Martinelli, Raphinha and Estêvão.

The album and stickers go on sale from 30 April, with online pre-order available. Each pack contains seven stickers and is priced at R$ seven.
