Neymar missed Brazil’s first training session on Wednesday because of right calf discomfort, raising questions over his World Cup involvement from 11 June to 19 July, despite his call-up amid fitness concerns.
The 34-year-old forward underwent medical tests at a private clinic in Teresopolis due to a persistent problem in his right calf. The Brazilian federation said in a statement that no further information will be released until medical evaluations are complete.

Expected to rejoin the group, Neymar, capped 128 times with 79 goals, did not take part in the opening collective session at the Granja Comary base.
The timing is far from ideal for Brazil, who face Panama in a friendly at the Maracana on Sunday, then Egypt on 6 June in Cleveland.
The Selecao begin their World Cup campaign on 13 June against Morocco.
