Neymar returns as Cuca names 24-man Santos squad to face Remo | OneFootball

Neymar has been recalled to Santos’ squad to face Remo on Thursday at Vila Belmiro, kick-off 19:00, in the ninth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. According to Globo.com, the forward missed the Cruzeiro game but is available again.

With Neymar back, Cuca has 24 players available for the match. Gabigol is out with right calf oedema and should return only against Flamengo.

Santos are expected to start with Gabriel Brazão in goal, Igor Vinicius, Lucas Veríssimo, Luan Peres and Escobar in defence, Oliva, Gustavo Henrique and Neymar in midfield, and Barreal, Thaciano, with Moisés an option, and Rony in attack.

Cuca has also lost midfielder Gabriel Menino from the final training sessions before the game. He has a right hamstring injury and is ruled out.

Santos have seven points from eight rounds and could finish the round in the relegation zone. This will be Cuca’s first match at Vila Belmiro in his fourth spell. After drawing with Cruzeiro on debut, he is seeking a first win.
