Nice host Monaco in Ligue 1 on Sunday, 8 February 2026 in Nice, with the visitors eyeing a climb towards the European spots and the hosts looking to put more distance between themselves and the bottom end.
Nice and Monaco sit 13th and 10th respectively, and their October meeting finished 2-2. That balance sets up another tight Côte d'Azur derby, with both sides seeking momentum.
Les Aiglons have steadied with a 4-1 win at Nantes and a 2-2 draw against Brest, plus a cup victory over Montpellier. Les Rouge et Blanc thumped Rennes 4-0 but were held at Le Havre and lost at Lyon and Lorient, then went out at Strasbourg in the cup.
Les Aiglons are missing Melvin Bard, Tiago Gouveia, Moïse Bombito and Djibril Coulibaly. Les Rouge et Blanc are without Paul Pogba, Lukas Hradecky, Eric Dier, Takumi Minamino, Wout Faes, Folarin Balogun, Mohammed Salisu, Ansu Fati and Pape Cabral, absences that could shape selection at the back and up front.
Les Rouge et Blanc tend to control more of the ball with 53% possession and 84.10% passing accuracy, while Les Aiglons' route may be wide supply. Jonathan Clauss has four league assists and Sofiane Diop leads their scoring with seven. For the visitors, Maghnes Akliouche and Mika Biereth provide the cutting edge, with service from Krépin Diatta and Kassoum Ouattara in support of Philipp Köhn.
A win for Les Rouge et Blanc would strengthen a top-half and European push, while three points for Les Aiglons would move them further from danger and tighten the mid-table pack.
