Giants go head to head for place in Africa Cup of Nations final

Nigeria take on Morocco for a place in the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 final this evening at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, Morocco. The Super Eagles were one of the favourites coming into this tournament, and they have swept past every opponent they have faced so far. Eric Chelle’s side have won all their matches up to the last four, with their 2-0 victory over Algeria in the last round booking their place in the semi-finals.

The hosts Morocco topped Group A and have won all but one of their games up to this point. That came on matchday two in the group stage with a 1-1 draw against Mali, but they bounced back quickly to defeat Zambia 3-0. Walid Regragui’s side made hard work of Tanzania in the first knockout round, scraping through with a 1-0 win thanks to Brahim Diaz’s strike. The Real Madrid man was on target once more in the last-eight encounter with Cameroon, where the Atlas Lions emerged 2-0 victors.
