"We had very open and appreciative conversations with both of them this week. In the end, we mutually agreed with both Niklas and Salih to go separate ways at the end of the season," said Borussia Dortmund managing director for sport Lars Ricken. He told Ruhr Nachrichten on Friday.
"But until then, nine games still await us, which we want to play as successfully as possible together and, once again this year, qualify for the Champions League."

Both players are out of contract this summer.
Süle, 30, joined Dortmund on a free transfer from Bayern Munich in 2022 and has played 108 games for the club.
Özcan, 28, arrived from 1. FC Köln in 2022 and has featured 92 times for Dortmund.
