Mohamed Kader Miti marked his first Roshen League start for Al-Hilal with a debut goal, stepping up in French teammate Karim Benzema’s injury absence. According to Goal.com, the 18-year-old Ivorian joined from Stade Rennais during the last winter transfer window.
Al-Hilal hosted Al-Taawoun at Kingdom Arena on Saturday in the 27th round. On 43 minutes, Miti collected Mohamed Mahzari’s ball down the left and smashed a shot that goalkeeper Mailsong could not keep out.
Manager Simone Inzaghi started him with Benzema unavailable, while wingers Salem Al-Dossari and Sultan Mandash were also injured.
Before Saturday, Miti had featured in four matches for Al-Hilal, three as a substitute and one start against Al-Wahda of the UAE in the AFC Champions League. He totalled 106 minutes without a goal or assist.
The forward arrived for a sizeable fee, reportedly reaching €30 million, despite his young age.
