Real Madrid’s search for midfield reinforcements continues to generate headlines, and one of the latest names linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu appears to be further away than recent reports suggested.
The Los Blancos are expected to strengthen the midfield during the summer transfer window as preparations continue for next season.
While several high-profile names such as Enzo Fernandez and Nico Paz have been linked, Real Madrid are also exploring the market for a more established midfielder capable of immediately improving the squad.
Among the players recently linked with the Spanish giants is Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, whose impressive performances in the Premier League and with Argentina have attracted attention across Europe.
However, fresh comments from the player’s family have cast doubt on reports suggesting that Real Madrid have already made contact.

According to reports from Argentina, Mac Allister is one of several midfielders being monitored by Real Madrid as well as Atletico Madrid.
Despite these links, his father has now dismissed suggestions that discussions have already taken place.
Addressing the rumours in an interview with Erem News, he said, “What has been reported about Alexis is false.
“No one from Real Madrid has spoken to us so far. There is no new information regarding Alexis’s current situation at Liverpool.”
The statement directly contradicts speculation that a move could already be developing.

At present, Mac Allister remains under contract with Liverpool until 2028 and continues to be an important part of the club’s project.
While there has been no major progress regarding a contract extension, there is equally no indication that an exit is imminent.
For now, Real Madrid’s interest appears to be limited to monitoring the situation rather than actively pursuing a transfer, and the comments from Mac Allister’s camp explain the reality facing Real Madrid this summer.
Although strengthening the midfield is a priority, the club is keeping several options open rather than focusing exclusively on one player.
