Noa Lang slams manager Antonio Conte after Champions League humiliation | OneFootball

Napoli lost 6-2 away at PSV Eindhoven in what was an embarassing night in the Champions League for Antonio Conte and his men. This continues Conte’s less-than-impressive record in the competition. Things were made worse by the explosive interview given by winger Noa Lang after the game criticising Conte. The Dutchman was interestingly signed by Napoli from PSV earlier this year.

Lang scored 14 and assisted 12 for PSV last season and was bought by Napoli for around €25m. So far this season across all competitions, Lang has only played 110 minutes with no starts. Conte has implied in the past that he wants Lang to work harder in training to get the chance to start games.

In an interview to Ziggo Sport (via calciomercato.com), Lang spoke about his lack of minutes and how he didn’t know what to do about it. “I prefer not to say anything about my situation, I have to bite my tongue a bit. I don’t know what else I have to do to get started, but I have no choice but to accept because I signed a contract here.” He also provided a damning indictment of his relationship with the Italian manager saying, “I only spoke to him once.”
