Spurs hover just one point above Premier League drop zone
Micky van de Ven hit out at the "nonsense" claims that members of Tottenham's squad were not fully committed to the club's survival bid.
It has been a disastrous season for Spurs and they sit just a point clear of the relegation zone with eight Premier League matches to play.
There was serious pressure on Igor Tudor's position heading into the match against Liverpool on Sunday, even though the interim boss had been in place for barely a month.
Members of the Spurs squad are understood to have had doubts over Tudor's methods and the defeat to Atletico Madrid last week, when Antonin Kinsky was brought off inside 17 minutes, felt like close to a breaking point.
Tudor has remained for now, but there have been reports that one Spurs player has told his team-mates he is not concerned about relegation because he will leave in the summer regardless.
"The only thing I can say is it's not true," Van de Ven said.
"What I said - it's the biggest nonsense. Everybody is just focused on what's going ahead and what's in front of us."
The Dutchman raised his concern that the stories were having a negative impact on the relationship between the fans and the players.
Van de Ven said: "Sometimes we just read things by ourselves, by the players as well, and then we're just like, what is this?
"The other day when we read something about one guy that said to everyone that he's probably going to leave and doesn't care about the situation they're in, and then someone reads this and we're just like, how does this come out?
"People are just making things up and it's just frustrating for us as well, because it brings so much more trouble as well, because the fans are starting to believe this.
"Trust me, all the people involved on the pitch, the staff, the players, everyone, they care so much about the situation we're in right now.
"We just want to turn things around, and that's the most important, that's the main focus for everyone. If some reports just start saying that guys don't care anymore, it's just frustrating for our guys."
Van de Ven was watching from home on Sunday as Spurs drew 1-1 with Liverpool, the first time they avoided defeat under Tudor.
The Dutchman was suspended after his red card against Crystal Palace earlier this month, after which he apologised to his team-mates.
Van de Ven was "screaming" at the TV after Richarlison's late equaliser and he is determined to now get back to having an impact on the pitch himself.
That starts on Wednesday night with the second leg of the Champions League last-16 tie against Atletico Madrid, when Spurs attempt to overcome a 5-2 deficit.
“Obviously, the last games from my side hasn’t been the best and I know that as well," Van de Ven said.
"For me, it’s just most important that I keep showing to everyone that I always give 100 per cent to this club.
“I will always do as long as I play. For me, the most important is that we turn things around right now.
“If people say things, then people say things. Obviously people are going to leave things that are not true. There’s nothing I can do about that."
