AI has predicted where Norwich City will finish after their final five Championship fixtures
After a poor start to the season, Norwich City have become a side transformed under Philippe Clement, with the Canaries flying up the Championship table and remaining in contention for a play-off place with five games to go.
Had you told Norwich fans that they would be within touching distance of the top six with five games to go back in early December, you'd do well to find many who would believe you.
But, since the arrival of Belgian boss Clement, the Canaries have been in scintillating form, with 17 victories in their last 29 games, propelling them up the division.
Liam Manning's time in charge was an unmitigated disaster by almost all accounts, and is the only reason the Norfolk-based outfit doesn't already find themselves in the top six, but with just five games to go, many Norwich fans will scarcely believe the position they find themselves in.
Their 2-1 away win over automatic promotion-pushing Millwall in their most recent outing is indicative of where they currently are as a side in terms of ability, and they will be heading into the final five fixtures filled to the brim with confidence.
With the East Anglian derby first up on Saturday, FLW has asked AI chatbot ChatGPT whether it thinks Norwich will finish in the play-off places or not with just a handful of games remaining.

Sitting just six points outside the play-off places prior to Wrexham and Southampton's clash on Monday evening, Norwich fans will see no reason as to why their side can't go on to achieve a top-six finish this season despite the odds being well against them.
Whilst teams around them are also picking up points, Norwich remains within touching distance of those elusive positions, and with just five games to go, each game will be like a final for the Canaries, none more so than their home clash with Ipswich Town on Saturday.
Not only will they be hoping to make some more ground on the play-off spots in this one, but they will almost certainly relish the opportunity to dent their biggest rivals' automatic promotion hopes in the process by claiming all three points at Carrow Road.
AI chatbot ChatGPT has predicted Norwich's final five games of the season, and where it thinks they will finish, having soared up the division in recent months.
AIsays: Norwich City are in strong form but have left themselves too much to do, sitting 9th with a points gap and an extra game played; while they should beat sides like Derby County and Swansea City, tougher fixtures against Ipswich Town and Hull City plus a tricky trip to Bristol City likely leave them just short of the playoffs in around 8th–10th place.
AI has Norwich picking up just seven more points between now and the end of the campaign, including losses to both Ipswich and Hull, which almost certainly wouldn't be enough to break into the top six.
Whilst seven points would likely solidify their place in the top half of the table, which many Norwich fans will probably take after the beginning of the campaign, it will still be somewhat disappointing to fall just short.
The Canaries, in all likelihood, need at least four wins from their final five to stand a chance of breaking into those places, with victories over the likes of Ipswich, Derby, and Hull imperative to those ambitions.
Whilst AI has them falling just short, it shouldn't deter Norwich supporters from believing that a spot in the top six is still well within the realms of possibility.

Having initially been appointed to lift them out of the dangers of relegation, few would have predicted that Clement would lead Norwich into a push for the play-offs in the latter stages of the campaign.
It cannot be overstated just how good a job the Belgian has done since arriving at Carrow Road, and having feared a relegation to League One was a real possibility, Canaries supporters will instead be dreaming of a return to the Premier League.
In any instance, Clement will lead Norwich into next season regardless of what division they are in, and will no doubt be given the reins to rebuild the squad in his image over the summer.
Top-flight football returning to Norfolk next year is not out of the question, and having exceeded expectations since joining the club, Clement has the chance to write his name in Norwich's history books within the next month or so.
