Nottingham Forest could sanction two exits this week as the summer window gathers pace. Elliot Anderson’s proposed £116 million move to Manchester City and David Carmo’s prospective switch to Olympiacos are advancing.

Anderson, 23, is on World Cup duty with England and is said to have passed a medical at the team’s Kansas base. Thomas Tuchel has indicated the deal could be wrapped up before Wednesday’s round of 32 tie with DR Congo.

England beat Panama 2-0 on Saturday, and despite a minor glute issue beforehand Anderson played 84 minutes as his side secured top spot in the group.

If the transfer is finalised after Tuesday, 30 June, the sale would fall into Forest’s 2026/27 accounts. The timing has drawn almost as much attention as the size of the fee.

Carmo appears close to a third spell with Olympiacos, with footage on social media purporting to show his arrival in Athens on Monday. Earlier reports suggested a £5m to £8m permanent fee for the 26-year-old, who joined Forest in 2024 and has since had two loans, most recently at Real Oviedo.

CalcioAtalanta reports that Atalanta have Nicolo Savona high on their summer list, but are prepared to wait until conditions suit before moving.

Inside Futbol adds that the structure of a deal is proving a stumbling block, so an agreement is not close. It reports Atalanta prefer a loan with an option to buy, while Forest would favour a straight sale.
