Nottingham Forest have joined the transfer race for Liverpool forward Ben Doak, according to the Mirror (July 15, Page 57).
Forest secured European football after finishing seventh in the Premier League last season.
They have already signed Igor Jesus and Jair Cunha, but are now in the market for a winger after selling Anthony Elanga to Newcastle United in a £55 million deal.
Forest have identified Doak as a replacement but face competition from several clubs.
Everton, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth all enquired about the 19-year-old earlier this summer.
Brentford retain a long-standing interest in the forward, while PSV Eindhoven are also keen.
Doak impressed with his performances during his loan spell at Middlesbrough last season, bagging three goals and seven assists in 24 appearances.
With a year left on his contract, Liverpool are ready to sell him for around £25m.
The Scotland international is keen to leave as he will likely struggle for first-team opportunities at the Merseyside club.
Doak began his career at his hometown club, Dalry Rovers, before joining Ayr United and then Celtic.
He made two senior appearances for Celtic before landing a move to Liverpool in 2022 at just 16 years old.
Doak has made significant progress since then, making 10 appearances for the Reds.
