Nottingham Forest appear to have been handed an injury boost, with several players back in training before Thursday’s Europa League trip to Utrecht.

According to the BBC, Douglas Luiz and Oleksandr Zinchenko were back on the grass on Wednesday before travelling, with Murillo and Dilane Bakwa also involved, while Ryan Yates was absent. Kick-off is at 5.45pm.

Forest lost 3-0 at Everton at the weekend in the Premier League, and a lengthy absentee list has hampered Sean Dyche’s ability to rotate.

Yates sustained a suspected hamstring problem against the Toffees, coming off around 15 minutes after being introduced at half-time.

Murillo has missed the past three matches with a hamstring issue followed by a virus. Luiz has not featured since November 1, while Zinchenko last played in October.

Bakwa returned last week with an hour for the B Team, his first outing since October 5. Dyche is due to give an update at his pre-match press conference at Stadion Galgenwaard this evening, with Tottenham Hotspur to come on Sunday.

Strikers Chris Wood, with a knee problem, and Taiwo Awoniyi, issue unknown, remain out, along with goalkeeper Angus Gunn, who has a knee injury. Ola Aina is said to be recovering well from a hamstring problem but cannot feature until January at the earliest after being left out of the Europa League and Premier League squads for the first half of the season.
