Bayern Munich have won the Supercup! They've prevailed in the match against Stuttgart and won 2-1, thanks to goals from Harry Kane and Luis Díaz; Jamie Leweling got one back for Stuttgart in the final minutes of the game.

Stuttgart struggled to get into the game and Bayern took advantage of that early on - Bayern were feeling quite dominant, but Stuttgart were able to get back into the game as time went on.

One big talking point before, during and after the match was the future of Nick Woltemade - what do the players and staff of both clubs think about Stuttgart's decision to keep the striker?

Find out down below - here are all the statements from players and staff to Sky Germany right after the heated match:

Manuel Neuer (FC Bayern):

“It's a title and every title is important. We've had a good, but short pre-season and we wanted to show today, that we're not tired, but excited - and I think we achieved exactly that. Of course, we could and should've been more clever at the end and not concede this late on, but we will work on that. We've had our lucky charm with us as well (cockatoo). This performance wasn't as much of a statement as our last victory against Stuttgart (4-0), but it's too early in the season to call any victory a real statement.”

Angelo Stiller (VfB Stuttgart):

“Congratulations to Bayern - we've played a good game and had our chances, but in the end, Bayern deserved the victory. Nevertheless, our performance encourages us to keep going. Interestingly enough, Bayern played different to how we thought they would play - that's why we needed time to adjust. Michael Olise was playing far more in the centre and they tried to keep it tight in the offense, but we eventually got behind that idea.”

“I'm happy that Nick [Woltemade] stays - you could see today, how important he is for our game.”

“Playing in the double-pivot for Germany alongside Kimmich? I'd be happy to give it a go, we are both good playmakers, but we are also willing to run back and defend. Let's see if that could be a good mix under Julian Nagelsmann.”

Deniz Undav (VfB Stuttgart):

“We've lost our second consecutive Supercup final - that's not a good feeling, even though it was closer this time around. Both teams had great chances, but in the end you have to congratulate Bayern - they were simply put better in the details. We've had our problems in the first 25 minutes, but we played an even match after that.”

“It's good for us, that Nick [Woltemade] stays on board. I hope that was the final decision this summer, for him and for us - the talks were sometimes a bit distracting. Now we want to put our focus on the Bundesliga start against Union Berlin - we need to win that game.”

Vincent Kompany (FC Bayern):

“The victory tonight was extra important, because of the name of the cup [Franz Beckenbauer]. He was very important for this club. Tonight we were able to show character and a good mentality. It's a good step n the right direction - we've only had a short pre-season, but we performed well tonight anyway.”

“Kane works very hard for the team and has that special feeling and knowledge where and when to be in the box - he's a world-class striker. Díaz was also very good tonight, he will definitely score many goals for us. His energy is contagious for the whole team!”

“About the transfer market - we've two weeks left to make any necessary decisions.”

“Young players always want to play as much as possible, I know that from my own past. Players like Lennart Karl are part of the squad and that's good - I want him and the others to have a great career at Bayern, and they will definitely get their moments during the season.”

Sebastian Hoeneß (VfB Stuttgart):

“In my opinion, this loss was unnecessary. We have to get into the final phase of the game without conceding that second goal. There was absolutely more in it tonight for us. The game was very open in large portions of the match, but we were missing some luck in the final moments. A penalty shootout would've been fair tonight.”

“Nick [Woltemade] was again, very important and good for our game; he worked very hard and also had some great chances to score - he needs to put some of them away, of course. He will help us a lot this season.”

Jonathan Tah (FC Bayern):

“The victory feels good, it's great to start into a new season like that. My time at Leverkusen was beautiful, now comes a time at another top club, that has even higher ambitions - I hope it continues like today.”

“Díaz is extremly quick and is a very technically gifted player, he really makes his mark in every game. He worked hard for his goal tonight and he deserved to score - I'm sure that many goals will follow.”

“I can learn a lot from Kompany, since he played in my position on the highest level for a long time. He has already given me a lot of useful tips.”

Harry Kane (FC Bayern):

“We fully deserved the win tonight, but I wish we had scored a few more goals. We played well with and without the ball and we understand each other on the pitch. Upamecano and Tah were great in defense and Manuel Neuer made some outstanding saves as well. Díaz showed that he is a real goal scorer, who knows where and when to be in the box. His goal was beautiful to me and Gnabry's cross was great, too. We can build on our foundation from last season - after tonight, we want to win everything this season!”
