NYCFC vs RBNY: How to watch, time, and more of the dangerous Hudson River Derby

On Saturday, New York City FC will play the New York Red Bulls in the first Hudson River Derby of the year. Unfortunately, this is not necessarily the best time for the Boys in Blue due to their goal-scoring struggles. Just this week, they played to a 0-0 draw with D.C. United. Yet, the team was incredible offensively and dominated the D.C. side. The issue at hand was that they could not find the back of the net.
In fact, the Pigeons have been kept out of the goal for the last three matches in all competitions. All three of their last wins have come via the 1-0 scoreline, with two of them deemed as being lucky wins. Although their record in the last six Major League Soccer games is 3-2-1. Some will say the team is doing okay on paper, but the inability to score has been hurting them. That is why this is a dangerous Hudson River Derby, for NYCFC is not playing to the team’s full potential.
At the same time, the Red Bulls have not been so hot either. They might have scored seven against the LA Galaxy last weekend, but like NYCFC, the red side has a 5-5-3 record. They sit ahead of the Pigeons based on goal differential.
But again, the scoring issues make it easy to question whether the Queens team can get the job done and beat the Red Bulls. The desire for revenge might be a driving force since their rivals knocked them out of the MLS Cup Playoffs last year. Still, NYCFC needs to be clinical in the final third if they want a remote chance of winning.
4:30 PM ET, with an expected start time of 4:40 PM ET
Fans can catch the derby on the MLS Season Pass via Apple TV
Supporters can make their way to Queens to watch the match at Citi Field

If NYCFC fans cannot watch or listen to the game, then they can follow along via MLS Soccer’s timeline and NYCFC’s X account. Additionally, the club will post updates here and there on Facebook.
A win would be great. However, no matter what happens, NYCFC is the better team, because the Pigeons have an MLS Cup win and RBNY does not. And, do not forget, New York is always blue.
