Official: Ancelotti signs new Brazil contract to 2030 | OneFootball

Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti has officially extended his contract with the Brazil national team until 2030, before participating in the World Cup.

The tactician turns 67 next month and had taken the job with the Seleçao in May 2025, after his second stint at Real Madrid came to a conclusion.

He has overseen only 10 matches, resulting in three victories, one draw and two defeats, but it already proved enough for the Brazilian Federation to be convinced.

They have proposed a new contract to 2030 and he has signed, announcing the decision that will take him to the end of the 2030 World Cup.

“I arrived in Brazil a year ago. From the first minute, I understood what football means to this country,” Ancelotti told the official CBF website.

“For a year, we have been working to bring the Brazilian National Team back to the top of the world. But the CBF and I want more. More victories, more time, more work.

“We are very happy to announce that we will continue together for another four years. We will go together until the 2030 World Cup. I want to thank the CBF for their trust. Thank you, Brazil, for the warm welcome and for all the affection.”

This effectively ends any residual hopes Italy had that Ancelotti would return to the Peninsula to take over the Azzurri squad.

Ancelotti is the only coach in history to have won all five big European League titles at Milan, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

He also won the Champions League five times between Real Madrid and Milan, among numerous other trophies.
