FC Barcelona will be kicking off their game against Osasuna in La Liga shortly. A crucial game for the Catalan giants, it is a fixture that they will want to win in order to improve their lead at the top of the league table ahead of El Clasico.
For that reason, and the fact that this is the last major title that La Blaugrana can compete for this season, Hansi Flick was expected to field a strong starting team for this clash. Ultimately, that is exactly what he seems to have gone for.
In goal, Joan Garcia starts for Flick’s side and that was always set to be a guaranteed pick at the back. The Spaniard has been instrumental for the team this season, and his performances continue to cement his place in the team.
The backline consists of Pau Cubarsi and Gerard Martin starting together as the team’s centre-back pairing. They have been solid so far this season, and Barcelona will need another big performance out of them for this fixture.

On the flanks, Eric Garcia and Joao Cancelo start as the team’s full-backs for this game. Both players will have a lot of responsibility on their shoulders, but they have the quality and experience to manage it.
In the midfield, Gavi and Pedri start as the team’s midfield pivot, and they will likely rotate positions with Dani Olmo, who seems to be starting as the team’s central attacking midfielder. Flick clearly seems to like the dynamism and versatility that this midfield has to offer.
Ahead of them, Roony Bardghji and Fermin Lopez start as the team’s two wide forwards. Both of them will have to be at their best in this game, as it will take something special to get past Osasuna’s rigid system.
Lastly, up top, Robert Lewandowski starts as the team’s primary centre-forward. The Polish ace will need to ensure that he is clinical in this game, however, as any chance that is missed could come to haunt Barcelona later on.
