Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has on Tuesday been forced to pull out of national team duty with Spain.
This comes after the 18-year-old underwent a radiofrequency procedure amid his ongoing efforts to deal with a lingering case of pubalgia.
The RFEF announced this morning that Lamine will now not be available to play his part in Spain’s upcoming round of fixtures, against Georgia and Türkiye.
This development of course marks just the latest contributing factor to an increasingly tense relationship between those behind the scenes at Barcelona, and their Spanish national team counterparts.
Lamine suffered a groin issue whilst on duty with La Roja back in September, which has been causing him problems ever since. At the time, Luis de la Fuente was heavily criticised for his role in the matter.
The attacker has in turn been forced to sit out a number of Barca’s fixtures over the last couple of months, as well as the October international break.
The medical staff in Catalunya’s capital have therefore made the call to take matters into their own hands, prioritising the best interests of the club and Lamine himself.
