In a few days, the Spain national team will fly out to North America for the 2026 FIFA World Cup set to be played across the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
As many as eight FC Barcelona stars have been named in the squad by La Roja manager Luis de la Fuente, and the number could have easily been more if not for Fermin Lopez’s injury and Gerard Martin’s form being overlooked.
As things stand, Lamine Yamal, Ferran Torres, Dani Olmo, Pedri, Gavi, Pau Cubarsi, Eric Garcia, and Joan Garcia are the eight Barça players in the Spain squad.
Ahead of the prestigious tournament, where Spain go in as one of the favourites, De la Fuente has announced the shirt numbers that the players will be wearing at the tournament.
As he has done in the past, Lamine will once again wear the #19 shirt with Spain despite having switched to the #10 shirt with Barcelona.
Meanwhile, the Spanish national team’s No. 10 jersey will be held by Lamine’s Barça teammate Dani Olmo.
Pedri, a guaranteed starter for La Roja, will don the No. 20 kit, while his midfield partner and close friend Gavi has been given the No. 9 shirt – the same he wore before a long-term injury saw him sidelined from the Spain camp for an extended period.

Ferran, meanwhile, also retains his preferred No. 7 shirt, same as the one he wears at Barcelona.
On the defensive side of things, Eric Garcia, back in the Spanish senior national team setup after more than three years, will take the No. 4 jersey. Meanwhile, Pau Cubarsi will represent La Roja while donning the #22 kit.
Finally, goalkeeper Joan Garcia, who made his Spain debut in March earlier this year, will take the No. 13 shirt, with Arsenal’s David Raya wearing No. 1 and Unai Simon being given the #23 jersey.
