FC Barcelona will take on Olympiacos in their third UEFA Champions League game of the season in a little over an hour at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys.
With kickoff not far away, manager Hansi Flick has announced the Barcelona starting lineup for the game, with there being a surprise selection.
Teenage sensation Pedro Fernandez ‘Dro’, who is enjoying a breakthrough campaign, starts in attack for Barcelona, making his UEFA Champions League debut in the process.
The 17-year-old La Masia gem already started against Real Sociedad in La Liga and now does so in a European encounter.
Dro features in the Barça attacking unit alongside fellow La Masia graduates Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez, who starts after returning from injury against Girona. Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford leads the line as the centre-forward.
Frenkie de Jong has been given a rest by Flick, with Pedri and Marc Casado forming the double pivot in midfield.
No changes have been made in the defensive line, with Jules Kounde, Eric Garcia, Pau Cubarsi, and Alejandro Balde all starting once more. It means Ronald Araujo, who was the match-winner against Girona, is benched again.
Wojciech Szczesny guards the goal for Barcelona in Joan Garcia’s absence.
