Juventus had already been linked with Raphael Guerreiro for January, and it’s now confirmed he will be a free agent when his Bayern Munich contract expires on June 30.

The Portugal international left-back joined Bayern Munich for free from Borussia Dortmund in 2023 and his current deal only runs to the end of the season.

“We would like to express our sincere thanks to Rapha for the time he has spent with us,” wrote board member Max Eberl on the club website.

“We could always rely on Rapha on the pitch, and he is one of those characters who enriches any dressing room. Our discussions with him were constructive and based on trust and mutual understanding.

“We are now focusing, alongside him, on our goals for the rest of the season – there’s still a lot we want to achieve together.”

Guerreiro has so far made 89 competitive appearances for Bayern Munich, scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists.

Although primarily a full-back, he can also play in central midfield.

Juventus had already been linked with a possible swoop for the 32-year-old in January, where he would effectively replace Filip Kostic, another player who will be a free agent in July.
