Olympique Lyonnais confirmed on Monday the permanent transfer of Martín Satriano (25) to Getafe. The deal is worth €6 million, plus bonuses of up to €200,000.
Initially loaned to OL by RC Lens last summer, the Uruguayan centre-forward saw his buy-out clause (€5 million plus €1 million in bonuses) exercised by the Rhône-based club, before being loaned out to the Azulones this winter. This was the result of a difficult first half of the season for Satriano, who had to wait until October to finally open his scoring account with Les Gones.
In total, the Montevideo-born player made 19 appearances for Les Rouge et Bleu and scored three goals. An eventful spell that the Inter Milan academy graduate was ultimately able to use as a springboard to bounce back in La Liga, where he has already equalled his goal tally from the start of the season in just 10 appearances. All this while finding the net against Villarreal, Real Betis and Real Madrid.
