As we reported earlier, it's now official this Thursday, August 21! Jules Koundé has extended his contract with FC Barcelona.

Jules Koundé and FC Barcelona have officially renewed their partnership this Thursday, with the French defender now tied to the Catalan club until 2030. This is a strong vote of confidence from Barça for their French centre-back, who had already hinted at this contract extension during the club's pre-season tour in Asia.

"I am very proud to extend my contract at FC Barcelona. Honestly, everything was very easy because both the club and I wanted the same thing. I feel great here, in this city, with my teammates... Since I arrived, my dream has been to win trophies here. That's what drives me every day and I hope this continues," Koundé commented at a press conference to make the news official. "Many legends have played for Barça, and it's a pleasure to be able to play a leading role at such a great club.", Koundé said this Thursday after putting pen to paper on his extension.
