After ten years at Bayern Munich, Kingsley Coman has departed the Bundesliga champions for Saudi club Al-Nassr in a reported €35m transfer.

“We’d like to thank Kingsley Coman from the bottom of our hearts for a uniquely successful time together,” said board member for sport Max Eberl. “He earned an eternal place in the club’s history with his goal in the 2020 Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain. King will always be part of FC Bayern, and we wish him all the best for his new challenge.”

The Frenchman made 330 appearances across all competitions for Bayern Munich, scoring 72 goals and providing 71 assists – winning nine league titles and a Champions League trophy in the process.

Coman came close to leaving Bayern Munich last summer with Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Barcelona all interested in the French winger, who instead opted to remain in Bavaria. His time in Germany is one that will certainly be looked at in fondness. Coman – who scored the only goal in their 2020 Champions League final win over PSG – was loved by Bayern fans.
