Olympique Lyonnais have confirmed the signing of Mads Bidstrup from Red Bull Salzburg. The Dane has signed a five-year deal with the Ligue 1 club.

An undisputed starter for Thomas Letsch’s team, Bidstrup started 34 of the 36 matches he played across all competitions this season – contributing one assist.

Lyon are preparing to participate in the preliminary rounds of the UEFA Champions League. As the transfer window opens, they are already strengthening their squad. Kail Boudache’s arrival has already been confirmed. The winger has joined on a free transfer from OGC Nice. 

He has now been joined by Denmark youth international Bidstrup in a deal that is worth €10.5m plus a further €3m in bonuses. Further incomings are now expected at the Groupama Stadium. Julien Duranville also looks set to join in a €5.5m deal from Borussia Dortmund. The winger, who will replace Afonso Moreira, who has joined Bayer Leverkusen, has already announced his exit from the German club.
