Moroccan international defender Nayef Aguerd has officially joined Olympique de Marseille from West Ham United.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the transfer was completed for a fee close to âŹ23 million.
The "Atlas Lion" put pen to paper on Monday, signing a contract that runs until the summer of 2030, just before the close of the summer transfer window. Aguerd arrived in Marseille in a calm and discreet atmosphere, accompanied by a select group of club members. Mehdi Benatia, OM's sporting advisor, played a key role in convincing the player to join the team.With this signing, Olympique de Marseille aims to bolster their defense this season as they target strong performances in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
