The club have released a new Newcastle United training gallery of photos.
The images released, showing Newcastle United players training ahead of Saturday’s match.
A bit of insight…potentially, into who may and may not be available for this game, as Newcastle United take on Manchester City at the Etihad.
Newcastle United looking to make it 13 wins in their last 15 matches.
The photos published by Newcastle United featuring Wednesday’s training and the following first team squad players involved from what we could see:
Martin Dubravka, Anthony Gordon, Bruno Guimaraes, Emil Krafh, Lewis Hall, Alexander Isak, Tino Livramento, Lewis Miley, Jacob Murphy, Nick Pope, Fabian Schar, Sandro Tonali, Matt Targett, Sandro Tonali, Kieran Trippier, Joe Willock, Callum Wilson
As you can see, 17 first team squad players featuring in the official training photos released.
Difficult to draw any concrete conclusions on those not able to be seen in terms of injury/availability, with the club liking to keep the opposition guessing.
However, a media exclusive from The Mail on Wednesday morning had reported on three players.
They stated that Sven Botman (knee), Anthony Gordon (quad) and Dan Burn (groin) has all been sent for scans on their knocks/injuries.
The report saying that their information was that all the scan results were positive.
However, they said that their understanding was that whilst Gordon was fine and would be now available for Man City, the news on Burn and Botman was that whilst the scans showed nothing to worry about, the two players weren’t totally pain-free yet and it would be a late call this week as to whether they would be in the squad for Saturday.
