La Liga giants Real Madrid have late this week announced an injury setback in the club’s first-team ranks.
This comes amid confirmation that midfielder Eduardo Camavinga has suffered a fresh fitness problem.
Youngster Camavinga was for his part of course forced to sit out the final weeks of the 2024/25 season, as well as Real Madrid’s Club World Cup campaign.
This came owing to a muscular injury suffered back in April.
The Frenchman had spent the last couple of weeks ramping up his recovery endeavours, in hopes of being available for selection for Real Madrid’s upcoming season opener against Osasuna.
Safe to say, then, that the latest word stemming from Valdebebas on Sunday will come as a blow for club and player alike.
As per a statement across Los Blancos’ website and social media platforms:
‘Following tests conducted on Eduardo Camavinga by the Real Madrid Medical Services, the player has been diagnosed with a sprain to his right ankle. Awaiting further development.’
