Official: Real Madrid squad list against Real Sociedad – veteran defender out | OneFootball

Real Madrid will travel to San Sebastian tomorrow as they take on Real Sociedad on Matchday 4 of the 2025/26 La Liga season.

The current table-toppers, Los Blancos will be targeting their fourth consecutive win of the season as Xabi Alonso gets set to take on his boyhood club.

Ahead of the game at Anoeta, Real Madrid have released the squad list of players that will make the trip and there are some notable absences.

The biggest update is that Antonio Rudiger has been left out of the squad, although the reason behind his absence is unclear at the moment. It must be noted that the centre-back played in both of Germany’s matches during the international break and Alonso could be resting him.

Meanwhile, Jude Bellingham, Endrick, and Eduardo Camavinga are not back in the squad, even though they did train with the rest of the group today. Ferland Mendy also remains unavailable.

Andriy Lunin, who returned early from Ukraine’s national team camp due to back issues, is fit and features in the travelling squad.

Youngster Thiago Pitarch is not called up, meaning Real Madrid go with only four midfielders in Aurelien Tchouameni, Arda Guler, Federico Valverde, and Dani Ceballos.
