Raheem Sterling has spent the entire campaign out of action after leaving Chelsea and becoming a free agent. His last competitive appearance came last season, on loan at Arsenal.
According to Superdeporte, the 31-year-old has chosen Feyenoord as his next club on a deal to the end of the season.
The move could be a turning point, perhaps the last major chance to rediscover the level that once made him one of Europe’s most decisive wingers.
In Rotterdam he will work under Dutch great Robin van Persie, now on the touchline. Any extension beyond June 2026 would depend on his form and fit.
Sterling rose at Liverpool then enjoyed his brightest years at Manchester City, becoming central under Pep Guardiola. He won league titles and produced regular double figures for goals, built on dribbling, speed and timing.
A later stint at Chelsea brought less consistency. With England he has been capped more than 80 times, starring at Euro 2020 and remaining important across several tournaments.
